(Student Opportunity for Advancement or Recovery)When applying for the S.O.A.R. program, it is necessary to be enrolled in another public, private, or home school program. Compulsory attendance is maintained by that local school. Zion Academy of America (ZAA) considers a S.O.A.R. student a “shared student” or a “dually enrolled student.”
S.O.A.R. is our K-12 single course program for the student who needs one or more courses either to advance or to recover academic loss.![]()
The S.O.A.R. program offers a structured format to keep the student on track through a credit recovery course or to give the student the opportunity to advance in a particular academic subject. While this program is most often used during the summer sessions of June and July, it is available throughout the school year. Students can be issued one or more individual courses at a time. A student can enroll as late as June for the second summer session.
